PRESCHOOL TEACHER– Excitement and Patience while Teaching Required

Achievers of Excellence Learning Academy is seeking an energetic, innovative and reliable individual to teach in a classroom of 2-3 year old on Monday through Friday.  The idea candidate will be able to develop and manage learning environment and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop and grow.  He or she will also be able to work collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and partners to enhance the school environment for both staff and students in our care.

Responsibilities:  

• Assess developmental needs of students and work to incorporate individual students learning and emotional needs.
• Ensures classroom management by setting rules and limitations
• Tracks attendance record of students
• Maintains a safe, clean and healthy environment
• Communicate directly and respectfully with students and parents
• Encourages students positive self-image and supports individuality, independence and creative expression
• Bathroom assistance as needed (may have to assist on toilet and after bathroom usage)

Priority of Care:

• Age Groups Preschool – 2 – 5 year old
• $14.00 – $17.00 per hour

Skills & Experience:

Minimum Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:  1 + 2 years

Detailed Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Early Child Education (or related field is a plus)
• 1-2 years experience working in childcare (is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability with young children from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a caring, consistent, and enthusiastic manner.
