NUTRITION

Good nutrition is essential for optimal child development and learning.  As our students move through the developmental stages of growth, they require the right amount and balance of nutrition to support their physical and mental development.

A well-balanced breakfast and lunch are served daily with a morning and afternoon snack.  Our menus are structured to provide students with a variety of foods with different colors and textures to include whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables; less processed items; and foods that meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans guidelines established by the USDA.

We prepare healthy child-friendly foods cut in small portions allowing student to manage independently. Daily with our meals and snacks we serve milk, fresh fruit, and vegetables also are available for students who bring lunches from home.  Candy and carbonated drinks will not be included in menu servings.  Our healthy snacks (as listed by the Texas Department of Agriculture) are available for school aged students as students arrive.

CLEANLINESS:

Keeping our facility clean is representative of who we are and is a vital part of who we are for the health, safety and well-being of students and our team.

One of the most important steps we can take to reduce the spread of germs (i.e. bacteria, viruses and fungi) is keeping our environment clean throughout the day.

SAFETY

We believe effective supervision promotes a safe and positive environment which enhances our students  development and learning. We create a safe learning environment purposed with safety practices designed to minimize the potential for accidents.
